Disability Training and Workshops

Sport Inclusion and Disability Awareness Training can be facilitated by our Sports Inclusion and Disability Officer on request, this is a 90 minute workshop where participants will build awareness around people with disabilities participating in community sport and physical activity. On completion of the course all attendees will receive a Cara certificate of participation endorsed by Sport Ireland. 

Disability Inclusion Training provides participants with knowledge, skills and ideas on how to adapt and modify their sport, physical activity or physical education sessions to make them more accessible and inclusive for people with disability. On completion of the course attendees will receive a Cara certificate of participation endorsed by Sport Ireland. 

Autism In Sport workshops provide attendees with an understand of Autism focusing on the delivery of sport. It will help participants apply practical strategies which will help include with autism in sport sessions.

Active Disability Ireland is a national pan-disability sport organisation providing a collaborative and partnership platform to increase sport and physical activity opportunities for people with disabilities across Ireland.

Active Disability Ireland develops and delivers inclusive training and education workshops across the Sport, Fitness, Adventure and Education sectors such as: 

-Disability Inclusion Training

-Inclusive Fitness Training

-Inclusive Adventure Activities Training

-Autism in Sport Workshop 

All the workshops offered by Active Disability Ireland are designed to equip participants with the knowledge, competence and skills necessary to include people with disabilities in sport and physical activity, and increase quality provision

On completion of the workshop all participants will receive an Active Disability Ireland Certificate of Attendance endorsed by Sport Ireland, a resource manual and a games booklet full of fun inclusive activities.
