We Did It!

Longford County Council & Longford Sports Partnership are thrilled to have won Best Inclusive Community Wellbeing Initiative at the LAMA All-Ireland Community & Council Awards 2026 for the SIDO A.B.I.L.I.T.Y Coaching Programme!

This inclusive programme empowers adults with additional needs and those from disadvantaged backgrounds to gain formal coaching qualifications and step confidently into community coaching roles.

We’re also grateful to the fantastic venues across Longford that hosted the training, providing welcoming and accessible spaces for participants.

Special mention to our LCC colleagues who also jointly won the National Impact Award alongside Laois, Offaly and Westmeath County Councils for the Midlands STEM Programme.
